Privacy Policy
1. Who we are and the roles we play
Operator: Bruno Gallo, an individual operator based in Argentina (“SourceWise”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Contact: support@sourcewise.io.
SourceWise is a B2B knowledge platform used by professional-services firms. Two roles matter here:
- For account and usage data (your name, email, login activity), we decide how the data is handled — we act as the data controller.
- For content your firm uploads — which often includes personal data of the firm's own clients (meeting recordings, documents) — the firm is responsible for that data, and we process it only on the firm's behalf and instructions, to provide the service.
2. What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, role (owner/admin/member), firm or workspace name, and sign-in identifiers (Google sign-in where used).
- Uploaded content: the videos, recordings, documents, and knowledge-base articles your firm uploads, plus the transcripts, summaries, and other material the service generates from them, and the questions you ask the platform.
- Basic usage data: technical logs (IP address, browser and device type, timestamps, errors) and which features are used — collected to run and secure the service, not to profile you.
We do not collect payment card details. When paid plans launch, payments will be handled directly by a merchant of record (see section 4) — card data never touches our systems.
3. How we use it
- To provide the service: storing, transcribing, indexing, and displaying your firm's content, including AI-generated transcripts and summaries.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the platform.
- To communicate with you about the service (support, important notices).
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
4. AI processing — no model training on your content
Transcription and AI features run on the Google Gemini API under paid API terms. Under those terms, Google does not use content submitted through the paid API to train its models. We also do not train models of our own on your content. AI processing happens only to produce the outputs your firm requested (transcripts, summaries, answers).
5. Subprocessors — who touches the data
We keep the list of third parties that process data for us short:

If we add or replace a subprocessor that handles Customer Content, we will update this page and give notice of material changes.
6. Where the data lives
Data is stored and processed on Google Cloud infrastructure, which may include servers in the United States. By using the service, your firm instructs us to process its content there.
7. Retention
- While your workspace is active, we keep your account data and Customer Content so the service works.
- After a workspace is closed (by you or by us), content remains available for export for 30 days, then we delete it from our live systems. Residual copies in backups are purged on a rolling basis shortly after.
- Minimal records we need for legal or accounting reasons may be kept longer, but only as required.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time by emailing support@sourcewise.io. We answer within a reasonable time, and always within any deadline applicable law sets.
If you are a client of one of the firms that uses SourceWise and your data appears in content they uploaded, the firm is responsible for that data — please contact them first. We will help the firm respond to your request.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on Google's infrastructure, access is restricted by role, and workspaces are isolated from each other. No system is 100% secure, but if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you without undue delay.
10. Cookies and local storage
We use the browser's local storage for strictly functional purposes: keeping you signed in and remembering preferences. There are no third-party tracking cookies, no analytics trackers, and no advertising pixels in the product today. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and tell you first.
11. Children
SourceWise is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves — especially during the beta. For material changes we will give reasonable advance notice by email or in the app before they take effect.
